HORECA

The Goal of the Trips

To become the best at something, you must learn from and alongside those who are better than yourself. This applies to good football players, skilled musicians, athletes, and destination managers.

We believe that the best way to learn is from those leaders who have proven to be the best over time. Talking to the sponsors who choose those clubs and getting everything down to practical tools and strategies that you can use in your own destination.

It’s also important to surround yourself with a network of people who have similar ambitions and challenges so that together you can reason through what needs to be done to consistently be the best when it comes to running the best destination locally, regionally, or nationally.

Day 1

  • We fly to the location and check into the hotel.
  • We have a lecture on leadership and discuss what we expect to gain from the day.
  • Then we visit the first destination and speak with someone who has been proven to be the best in the business over time.
  • If there is time, we will meet another similar company.
  • Then we return to the hotel for a short break.
  • Before having a joint dinner.

Day 2

  • We start with an early group breakfast.
  • Then we visit another destination.
  • Depending on the logistics, we either have another visit or lunch.
  • After lunch, we visit 1-2 partners, depending on distances.
  • During the partner visits, the focus is on what the destination we’ve spoken to are doing that appeals to their customers.
  • After the last partner visit, we return to the hotel for a short break.
  • Then there is another joint dinner.

day 3

  • We start with an early breakfast.
  • Then we have 1-3 lectures about the destinations we have visited and how what they do can be recreated.
  • Then it’s time for lunch.
  • We end the trip with a workshop led by the speakers.
  • The goal here is for all participants to concretize what they have learned into activities that they can recreate.
  • At the very end, we go through the tools that L&F Learning has developed to assist the leaders after the trip.
